Fall Harvest/Halloween Carnival at Pilgrim Lutheran Church & School 2012

Last Saturday, we went to the Fall Harvest/Halloween Carnival at Pilgrim Lutheran Church & School in Chula Vista.  It's where I attended school, K-8, and I knew Tiny Baker would love to go.

Right away we dove into some fun activities and games.  First on the agenda: Face Painting!

Drop the wooden coins from the top and watch where they land.  This is a fun game for kids to play at a carnival.

Bowling?!  She was more than thrilled!  Did you see how fast she was moving in the photo?

Giant inflatable slides.. I could hardly believe she climbed all the way up and slid down by herself.  Maybe she was a little braver because she had a friend there.

Yay, a jumper/brincolín!

Burn off that energy.. just in time before we go home to bed.

My favorite little Ghost Princess!  {She thought of the "ghost princess" costume idea, and she and I picked out the pieces to put it together.  I made the tulle tutu skirt and appliques on the shirt, the hair bow, and the wand!}  I would do anything for that little girl.

"Hooly Hoops"!  What a fun game.. and they let her walk right up to the scarecrows.

Ta-da!  I love my costume.

That's all, Folks!  Happy Harvest/Halloween!  We had the best time at the Fall Harvest/Halloween Carnival at Pilgrim Lutheran Church & School.  Hope to see you next year!

{not pictured: Food! We were playing games, but stopped to eat for a brief moment, before playing again.  They were selling carne asada tacos, handmade by a parent, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos.. you know, carnival food!}

They also had a cake walk, cookies for sale, carnival swings for bigger kids, and a photo booth.  The photo booth was $5, so we opted out.  The price was the same as the mall, nothing special.. Now if they had some props, like paper mustaches, eye glasses, and such, it might have been worth it.  And if they did, nobody was advertising it.
