Day 5: Advent Calendar {a pink sparkly mini stocking ornament}

Christmas Movie: ________ {we weren't home to watch one, {super sad face}}  I guess we'll just have to watch 2 tomorrow!

First up, cleaning at the dentist.  Not the ideal Christmas activity, but fresh breath makes for a fresh smile in all of those Holiday photos and close-ups.  Cozying up with your sweetheart will be far less embarrassing if you have nice, minty fresh breath instead of unbearable halitosis.  I actually know someone with this.  Remember to brush, floss, and rinse, at least twice a day.

From there, we grabbed a bite to eat and tried a Peppermint Mocha from McDonald's.. I never say this, but "meh".  It doesn't even compare to Starbucks {I haven't tasted any others, but it's my newest goal.. so if you're a coffee shop in San Diego that offers a Peppermint Mocha, leave a comment below to invite me over for a taste-test and review by yours truly!  Perhaps even a little coffee talk, as long as I'm there..}

Our family had kind of overlooked a major Christmas icon, customary for all American homes.  It's something you decorate, with your choice of lights and ornaments.. NANNA!  Just kidding, a Christmas Tree, silly!  It was on our agenda last weekend, but when we struck out, it dropped on our priority list.  I guess "save it for a sunny day" was today.  {did you like that?  "save it for a sunny day"?  We live in San Diego, so rainy doesn't happen that often.. if we hadn't saved it for a sunny day, it might never have happened.}  Yes, it is true what they say.  We talk about weather all the time... and how amazing it is!

Pine needles, branches, and a fresh cut trunk.. our Christmas tree was coming home with us today, and all for the outrageous price of.. $20.ºº!  WHAT?  That's right!  Twenty dollars, from good ol' Walmart.  Three to five footers, nineteen ninety five.  Ahhhh yeah.

Today was filled with Cheer and Triumph.  Happy 5th Day of 25 Days of Christmas 2012 with me, BeckyCharms!
