Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center, {San Diego, CA} has become an annual tradition for my family. We get there as early as we can {around 9.. they open at 8 or 8:30}, look around, get some pumpkins, head to the store and get out. It gets crowded and it gets hot.. but like I said, get there early and it'll be a fun time!

I could say how cute this is.. OK, this is SO cute! She loved it! {I usually NEVER let her throw hay/sand/dirt in the air, but this time I gave her the green light}

FYI.. we DID get our corn salad/salsa.. the corn lady opened late, after 10 or 11.. but she showed up and worked her magic. Mmm, it's one of our favorite parts of the trip. We wait ALL YEAR LONG to have that corn! Don't ever leave!!
Another tradition is Pumpkin Fudge, and this year they had Pumpkin Praline.. which was uber delish! They give samples.. generous samples.
